When my youngest daughter was in kindergarten, her teacher allowed a parent to celebrate the childs birthday by coming to class and reading a special book. As a surprise I chose this one.I personalized it though by covering the illustrated snapshots with real ones of my beautiful little girl and me. It was a hit!The teacher bought a copy for her daughter and this Christmas I purchased & personalized one more for my 9 year old I know they will both treasure these books forever. Thank you Lisa Thiesing for helping me organize our memories!
A great chance for a parent and child to share their history

This book provided a wonderful opportunity for a parent to talk to her child about similarities, and differences, between herself and her child. Although directed at mothers and daughters, it should provide an opportunity for tender moments between parents (or grandparents) and their young children. I particularly liked the "photographs," which created a sense of realism. They made the book truly personal, while at the same time telling a universal story. Altogether, a very enjoyable reading experience.
Buy one for a friend and one for yourself.
