Thumbs up -- no major complains

Probably the best of the four Sybex core exam study guides. Well-written and thorough enough to prepare you for the exam. You'll see much of this material reproduced again & again in the Server and SITE books -- learn it the first time and you'll be able to skim through hundreds of pages in the remaining volumes.

MCSE:WINDOWS NT W.S. STUDY GUIDE-BEST REFERENCE BOOK YET

After reviewing a full copy of this book that my NT4 Instructor recommended for a user training course in MCSE Certification, I find this book to be quite helpful, and one of the fewest books that provide the best drill exercises for preparing for Certification for either MCSE/CNA-CNE from Sybex. The drill exam questions help prepare you for tackling questions on the actual certification exam. Not only does this book provide the best drill exercises I have seen yet, it is one of the fewest books that is easy to read as just about any typical novel book. If prep-certification books were like this book, easy to read, I would have bookshelves of these Sybex books stacked up to read, review, and use for reference. Furthermore, the author is right about one thing about this book, you will use this book long after you pass the certification exam. Treat this book as a key reference manual once you are finished with passing the MCSE exam. I will!

Good prep for MCSE test for WS4

Actually, an 8.5 in my opinion. Read the book once, then redid the exercises. Took the exam and passed on the first time. Reason why the book is not a strong 9 or 10: There are a few grammatical errors in the book, and also a couple of instances where the book refers to something incorrect. But otherwise, I really think that it was a big help in preparing for the exam

Great book, read it and with NO study got an 890 on the exam

I really usually don't give 10's, but if a study book can give you a VERY good score with a single read-through, it deserves an 11

Good Student Guide and Invaluable Refrence

As one of the countless professionals dealing with rolling out NT4 in the workplace and as a student preparing for the Microsoft Exams, this book is currently never far from my desk. The authors manage to impart a great deal of knowledge in an easy style that is very readable but not simplistic. The book deals with the NT in a methodical manner and covers all aspects fairly reasonably. There are some areas that, in my opinon, that are glossed over lightly, (eg NTFS structure and security). However, considering that at this time the Course and Test for NT Workstation 4 has not been finalized by Microsoft, the authors do a very creditable job. The true test of any Study Guide is if it helps the student pass the exam - I'll keep you posted
