This is the reason I Aced the exam thank you so much Michael Macdonald. Despite a few flaws this book easily still deserves 5 stars, and anybody who says otherwise is wrong plain and simple.
Not for learning VB, but Excellent test prep guide

This book is for passing the VB cert test, and it does a great job. Yeah, there are some stupid mistakes that should have been detected before publishing. However, these mistakes should be obvious to anyone ready to take the VB test. This information is well presented and the practice test, in my opinion, is more difficult than the actual cert test. I passed with a good score and this book helped make that possible.
A good book, but not covered everything I saw on exam

I passed the exam after reading this book. It teachs you the way how to take the exam. This book covers about 80% of the topic you will see in the exam. In short, a pretty good book with some typos.
All The Good, Little Of The Fluff...

I purchased Michael MacDonald's book and was very pleased. He covers in about 400 pages what other exam prep books cover in 1000 pages and he does it at 1/3 of the cost. The book was very well laid out with the chapters flowing logically from one to the next. There were questions at the end of each chapter very much like the ones on the actual exam and there was an entire test in Chapter 16 (chapter 17 was the answers with explanations). Mr. MacDonald included his e-mail address in the book and I wrote him with a couple of questions about stuff I disagreed with. I got a detailed reply that same day. He wasn't defensive at all and also gave me the web address where the publisher lists updates to the book. I wish all authors were as responsive. If I had to do it over again, I would have only picked up this one book. I could have saved myself $100. Is the book perfect -- no. But it is damned close.
