Never out in print fast enough

Paul Aubin has done it again. Like my title says, Paul Aubin's books never come out fast enough for me. This book is a great resource for ADT users. There have been a lot of changes since ADT first came out. The major changes started in ADT 2004 and continue on thru ADT 2007. The changes from ADT 2006 to ADT 2007 are covered very well in this book. He takes you step by step thru a residential project & a commercial project. As you go thru the book he not only shows you how you command(s) work, but also why. He also gets into the subtle changes that have come about, e.g. Visual Styles. The books is arranged in such a way that you can be productive in ADT 2007 as you go along in the book. You don't have to wait until you are completed with the book to be productive. You can also move around in the book to go over a certain part of ADT without having to work your way up to it. For example, if you are just getting thru adding windows & doors & your work project needs to add a roof, you can go to the section of the book that covers roofs & you will be able to understand how to work roofs from reading the section withour having to do the sections before. But, if you can, go thru the book in the order that it's written to get the best grasp of ADT that you can. You can truly expect your skills to rise at least one level from going thru the book. I would recommend this book to all ADT users, beginning thru advanced. If you are thinking about moving to ADT, get this book so that your learning curve is the shortest possible. I would also recommend that you get Paul Aubin's book about Mastering Viz Render also. A great resouce for getting the look just right for your ADT model.

A tremendous help

My firm recently upgraded from 2002 to 2006 and it's been an ordeal. We've decided to use the project navigator's full functionallity and this book has been a wonderfull reference for the methodology behind it. I'd recommend this book to anyone doing the same.

Best bang for the buck

I look forward to the updated "Mastering " series every time I upgrade Architectural Desktop. Aubin's writings are kind of a clearing of the fog for me. I would hate to have to muddle through the new features without some direction and most of the other publications I've looked into seem very long winded and redundant but the "Mastering " books get right to the nuts & bolts. The Desktop Master Scores a BIg Win

I have read all of Paul's ADT related book and have attended one of his seminars. He is a true master when it comes to using and implementing ADT in an office environment and I believe that this book, Mastering Autodesk Architectural Desktop 2004, is his best yet.Experienced ADT users will find new tips, tricks and techniques that will allow them to fully exploit the new features of this great new release of ADT. His chapter "Setting Up The Building Model" is a must read for any firm that that wants to use ADT4's powerful new design management tools. ADT newbies will find Paul's book easy to follow and the absolute, best way to learn ADT. The book is chock full of fundamental and advanced exercises based on "real world" residential and commercial projects typical to an architectural office. If you can only afford one ADT book, this should be it; in fact, for firms using ADT, this book should be on the library shelf next to Architectural Graphic Standards, Time Saver Standards and the other industry "bibles".

Mastering ADT3 beginner

I found this book on ADT3 (3.3)to be clear and easy to follow. I learned more about actual production on ADT3.3 than I expected. Load and follow the lessons start to finish and actually learn how to create drawings correctly. I assume it will take a few projects to really get this all into my memory but I can say that this book is the best help I have had. If you have a one man office with only yourself to turn to get Mastering Autodesk ADT3
