A must read

I loved this book! It is a definate must read. It fits in perfeclty with the series. Eden and Laruent were an amazing couple and interact in a simply fantastic way. Laruent is one of my favorite vampires (In this series, after all who can resist a bad boy right? This is a book that I could read again and again and I can't wait to see the 8th book in this wonder filled series. I recomend this book to all out there! In fact I recomend this whole series!

I love Suzanne Sizmore's vampire world!

When Eden Faveau is asked to give up her vacation to hunt Tribe vampires, she is not happy. With her male relatives out of town, she is called in to work with Clan vampire Sid Wolf. Her task is to find the source for the dangerous new vampire drug, Dawn. With a bounty on his head placed by Justinian, Tribe Manticore's pack leader, perhaps Laurent's return to San Diego was poor judgment. In fact, Laurent is being stalked by Manticore vampires when he encounters the lovely Eden. But Eden mistakes him for Clan vampire, Sid Wolf and Laurent lets the misconception continue. While Eden thinks they are working to uncover the source of Dawn, Laurent is using Eden for his own agenda. Laurent hadn't planned on falling in love with the beautiful mortal. But with Eden's life in danger, Laurent discovers that Eden means more to him than a means to an end. His heart is involved. I love Susan Sizemore's vampires. Testosterone filled Alpha Primes finding their bondmates and the intriguing world of the matriarchal clans. Master of Desire doesn't have all of these elements as Laurent is not a member of the clans. And at first, I was disappointed. I LOVE reading about the clans! But then I found myself immersed in Laurent and Eden's story. Their inner struggles and the war that they must win against the evil Justinian kept me satisfied and reading til the end. Master of Desire gives a refreshing look at the vampire world of Susan Sizemore and I will be back for more! Annabelle Reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

Dark Fantasy Romance

Laurant has never known who he is or where his place is. Even as an outcast from the Tribe Manticore, one of the most violent vampire tribes,he can't find the violent tendencies in his make-up. All he wants is to find someone to open the files in the lap top he has stolen. Then he intends to go far away and live in peace and abundance. Eden Faveau is a vampire hunter, she is now looking for the people who are selling a new drug, Dawn, to vampires. It allows them to live in the sunshine, but the side effects seem to make them more violent. Her family has always hunted vampires. Eden mistakes Laurant for her contact with the Wolf Clan Vampires. They try to protect humanity from the Tribe Vampires and others who see humanity as prey. Laurant finds out Eden is a computer security agent. He thinks he can get her to help him break into the lap top. Each finds out how wrong they are about each other and before you know it, they are in love. Now they have to face the bad guys and the good guys. Not to mention the other secrets about Laurant that will change his life forever. I really liked this book. There was much more story and you really learn to care for these people. I hope you will try it. IT is much better than the last two books in this series.

Another great vampire novel from Sizemore

Susan Sizemore's vampire novels are always a pleasure to read. Laurent is an outcast vampire from the Tribe Manticore. Eden Faveau is a very human vampire hunter. Eden and Laurent should be enemies but instead become first partners and then lovers. Of course, there is the little twist that Eden believes Laurent is Sid Wolf, a Prime of the Wolf Clan and a sworn protector of the human race! The story begins with Laurent fighting two Manticore vampires who are trying to get a computer from him. This computer details the vast drug dealing of Dawn, a drug that enables vampires to walk in daylight but has the unfortunate side effect of psychosis. Some vampires do walk in daylight but it is not a trait that is freely shared with all vampires. Eden helps Laurent defeat the vampires and assumes he is the vampire Sid Wolf she is supposed to partner with. Laurent goes along with the deception once he realizes that Eden is a computer hacker as he intends to use her skills to crack the computer's code and obtain wealth from the information on it. Meanwhile, the real Sid Wolf is missing and her werewolf investigative partner, Joe, is searching for her. Justinian, the Alpha Prime of the Manticore vampires, has captured Sid and uses her as a lure for Laurent as it turns out that Sid is Laurent's sister. Laurent tries to trade the computer for Sid only to realize that Justinian now wants to publicly claim him as his son and heir after a lifetime of abuse and shunning. Laurent realizes his true destiny when Justinian has Eden captured. Susan Sizemore has delivered an action-packed vampire novel that was well worth the wait. Now I can only eagerly wait for the next installment....

Good stuff

I am continually drawn in by books that create a new spin on the vampire mythos. Susan Sizemore does it for me in a big way. Her "primes" of the vampire species are some of the most interesting and alluring vampires ever written. I had mixed feelings about the last book in this series. Colin, overall, was not my favorite male character. But Laurent makes up for him in a big sexy nearly amoral kind of way. Eden is a reluctant vampire hunter who happens to see Laurent who is in the wrong place at the right time. Laurent poses as "Sid" who is Eden's vampire contact for a mission she and the other hunters are on. They are immediately drawn to each other, but neither one recognizes the bonding process that has begun. Laurent has a very sad back story that will make you want to cry. I don't have a lot to say about Eden, mainly because she was a pretty standard example of the females in this universe; smart, fit, independant and willing to take a chance on a dangerous guy. You get the feeling that Laurent's story is what this book is all about. I was a bit thrown by "Sid" and her place in setting up certain events, but not too much. It is a minor criticism and not enough to ruin my enjoyment of another worthy story in the Primes Universe.
