Mary Poppins in the Kitchen: A Cookery Book with a Story

I've had this book for many years now and I still love it and use it. It has simple, traditional-period style recipes and kids can even help with some of them. Although it only has very few recipes, it is 3/4 storybook and 1/4 cookbook. Super cute!

My 10-years daughter summed it up perfectly: "Mom, you get 3 for one in this book: -New story about Mary Poppins, - A lot of yummy recipes, - And we can spend time together, preparing the stuff" Now, after the quote ended... Both of us probably will never get to really preparing at least third of the recipes, as a little bit too British for our tastes. Still, it was fun to read them and choose the one that we'd like to try. And, as always, both of us had fun reading one more story about Mary Poppins. Recommended: your collection of Mary Poppins books would not be complete without this one.
