Martha Doesn't Say Sorry!

Berger and Whatley had me at the first upturned otter nose! Children and parents alike sympathize with Martha's difficulty in saying those three little words. This is a great book for anyone trying to teach their children some basic social skills while still asserting their independence. I'm hoping that there is lots more Martha to come!

Hooray for Martha! This book quickly became my daughter's favorite. She loves to mimic the smug expressions on the faces of this adorable otter family, especially her new heroine Martha. The best part is, the moral lesson of saying sorry is not lost on her, and I'm more than happy to reward her with piggy back rides just like Martha's father. Kudos to Berger and Whatley for putting together a funny tale with a great lesson we all could learn a little from.

What a fantastic book for children. The verse, illustrations and yes, even the subtle message, combine for a perfect read for my daughter. Martha has many relatable qualities and I love that she is a character that children can easily identify with. I predict that she will be a classic and I am looking forward to more from Martha! I found Martha because we so enjoyed "It's Spring" by the same author - if you have not yet seen it, I would highly recommend it in addition to "Martha Doesn't Say Sorry". Happy Reading!

I got this book a week ago, and my 5 year old and 3 year old make me read it every night at bedtime! They laugh at Martha's antics, and can really relate to her naughtiness and her inability to apologize when necessary! The book is smart and the illustrations are clear. Berger and Whatley are a great team, and have created a thoroughly enjoyable children's book that teaches a lesson all parents and children can relate to. Funny, adorable, what else can I say? When is the next Martha book coming out??????

Martha is such a fun, spunky new character. The book presents children with a great message through Martha and the illustrations are beautiful. We can't wait to buy the next Martha book!
