I read this book for a class and expected to drag through it, but it grabbed my attention! It is thoughtful and practical and honest. Thanks Paul for being authentic!
A must read for engaged or married christians

My husband and I picked up this book while we were on our honeymoon in Vancouver. We've been reading a little at a time during our first year of marriage and we love it! I would say that this book, along with Love Life (by Ed Wheat), has impacted our marriage significantly. Stevens' book is good because he's very honest, very down to earth, yet has excellent insight into theological issues that play a part in marriage like prayer, the role of God's will in decision making, how to minister together, etc. Most of all, his chapter on prayer has been especially helpful to me. We now buy this book for all our engaged friends!
