A different perspective.

I read this book more than 20 years ago and I still remember the title and much of the story--so I must love it. The story is told from the perspective of Margaret's subconscious. It is basically a story about navigating through life, trying to find a way to be in the world. The storyteller doesn't have all the answers, but has some interesting insights, and tries to communicate with Margaret in some interesting ways. The interesting part is when the subconscious realizes that there is more to the world than it knows. A thought provoking perspective; in 2007, NYTimes had an article on the topic: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/07/31/health/psychology/31subl.html
