Wow!

We live in world now where almost everyone in every relationship plays games. Whether they feel it is necessary to keep their mate or necessary to maintain control, games are being played in every corner of the globe. Now I don't condone this type of behavior, but to read about it in such a humorous light, I must say...Wow! Read it, read it again, put it down, and read it again. Maybe next time games will play second fiddle to the truth. Mary Jo and Simon...I hope you live happily ever after in our imaginations! Dyanne Davis...keep them coming... Living it up in H-town!!!

I couldn't put it down

This book was engrossing and interesting, as well as funny in many instances from beginning to end. I could not not put it down. You think you know what type of characters they will be and how it will turn out, but it takes you on quite a ride. To me, even though this was fiction I could totally see the main characters as real people. Even Simon the billionaire was real to me. He was a character that really pulled you in. I like the way the author kept him authentic, she didn't try to make him "act black" or make him "down wit the black people" he was a white billionaire, he had major issues, and he was quite ruthless and egotistical at times, as you would suspect a sucessful business man to be, but he was a white billionaire who happened to be in love with a black author. Race is an issue here but it's peripheral, it isn't a major factor in their relationship. Their biggest problem is honesty and trust. This is an excellent book.......

fabulous book

OMG!!! This book was great. I could not put it down. I mean I read so much in one night I went to work tired and still wanted to come home and finish reading it. It was all about love and the twist and turns it creates in your life. I can say I have not read a book like this in a long time. Man it is so hard to not give the book the highest rating and still want to give it more. IU reccomend this book to anyone who wants a page turning great romance novel.

Just when you think you know an author

You find out you really don't and that's a good thing. I've read quite A few of this authors books and this is by far one of he best works in my opinion. I was becoming a bit bored with romance novels because they started to look alike but not this time. At first I hated the hero and the heroine but man did that change because this story made me actually cheer for these two misfits who really deserved each other. You know how there are those books where the characters make you so mad that you just want to ring their necks and render them unconscious well this is that couple. The more you read the more you wanted to just slap some sense into them but you just couldn't put the book down. Like a massive train wreck you just couldn't look away. Then toss in the bitter ex and family secrets and all hell just breaks lose. But you still can't put the book down. Because you have to know how it's going to end and sleeping just isn't an option for the overly curious. So read the book scream then read it some more.

Fantastic Read!

I have been a fan of Dyanne Davis since she wrote The Color of Trouble. Ms. Davis has consistly shown great growth as a writer. Many Shades of Gray is her best work to date! Her character development and storyline were one of the best I have read this year. I especially liked the evolution of the relationships between Simone/Janice(Mary Jo)/Tommy. This is a great read and I couldn't put it down! Fabulous job Dyanne!
