Bought this book for class

I bought this book for class and it is pretty helpful. It is all about solution focused counseling which is helpful in some situations but obviously can't be used all the time. Well written, with examples of dialogue.

A counselor educator and guidance director speaks

I have used this book for teaching my graduate course for school counselors for the past five years. I find the new second edition even more wonderful than the first. It gives students a really accurate picture of what it's like to be a school guidance counselor. It covers so many topics, gives practical suggestions and background information, and does not use jargon. My students love it and it greatly contributes to the success of my course.

This guide covers program implementation, counselor roles, individual, small, and large group counseling, working with special populations, the counselor as consultant/coordinator, involving other professionals in the counseling process, accountabilities, and legal issues. The guide also includes many reproducible forms.
