After his family is murdered, ex-solider Martin Keller tracks the cutthroats into the Indian Nations. As an unforgiving bounty hunter with no remorse, he's known as Man Killer, and he's not giving up until he makes good on his name. Original.
Just finshed this; it's not a new plot (part-time Texas Ranger/rancher returns home to find his family brutally slaughtered by 5 despicable bad guys, hits the vengeance trail), but it really is well done. Martin Keller starts out as more ex-civil war scout as The Rangers wanted him more for his tracking ability, but he picks up skills (such as a fast draw) as he goes and slowly evolves into a bounty hunter just to generate the funds to stay on the trail of his family's killers. He isn't too happy about bounty hunting, but he isn't much of a gambler. A tortured hero(drinks to ease the pain), but he will find the the guys who did it. Good solid traditional Western. Don't see many new ones like this.
