LISTEN TO THE MUSIC!

Are you a programmer who wants to create music? If you do, then this book is for you! Author Stephen Bennett, has done an outstanding job of writing a book that shows you how Logic Pro tightly integrates MIDI, Virtual instrument, audio recording and virtual plug-in processing for every day use. Bennett, begins with an overview of Logic Pro. Then, the author details how you can install Logic. Next, he takes you through getting Logic Pro to work with your MIDI and audio equipment and suggests some tips to help you make the most of the program. The author then takes you through your first recording and then from there and on to the editing and mixing of the MIDI, Audio and Virtual instrument recordings. He continues by dealing with the basics of the Score editor, and tips on how to make the output of the Score Editor useful to other musicians. Then, the author shows you an overview of the Arrange page. Next, he shows you all of the on screen variations possible with the Transport bar. The author then shows you all of the note data displayed in the Matrix editor from the "Piano" selected region. He continues by showing you the types of data Logic Pro can record, display and edit. He also shows you a typical Hyper edit window. Then the author shows you the Key commands window. Next, he details the Audio window and the Sample editor. The author continues with an overview of Global tracks. Then, he shows you all of the objects you can create in Logic Pro. Next, the author shows you some of the range of plug-ins currently supplied with Logic Pro. The author then gives you some tips on using Logic Pro for mixing your recordings, and then mastering the resulting mixes. Finally, he covers other Logic Pro useful information. This most excellent book also contains some high quality real time "plug-ins." More importantly, this book shows you how Logic Pro shields you from the Environment as much as possible by making the program easier than ever to use.
