A major reinterpretation of the nature and uses of power and its institutions in the twentieth century, with a new epilogue This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is a very good book if you can get beyond the stale prose in some areas. Essential for any radical understanding of US history--that is, if you want to go a little bit deeper than Zinn's A People's History of the United States (its well worth it). I recommend you read both of those books, Zinn's first, for a fuller history of the workers, women, and minorities who toiled throughout US history, then get Kolko for the more complex, subtle aspects.
