i loved this easy to ready play

I had to do a thesis on this play for my italian studies class and I must say this books was very easy to read. I know first year and second year Italian foreign language students who have this book and said the same. Great Libretto!!!

Great Seller...really

Great seller, Shipped and arrived on time as described, doing business was a pleasure and I dont say this just because...I say it because you are a great person to buy from.

What's not to like?

I love the Black Dog Opera books--background information on the opera, full text and its English translation, the opera on CD. What's not to like?

Magnificent!

The two CDs that come with the book are very good, and the book tells you the entire story of this wonderful, wonderful Opera. I recommend it for those who are preparing to see the performance for the first time, or perhaps for those who want to enjoy it as I do, time and again after the performance. I find the Black Dog opera series of books with CDs a great resource

One of the Best Recordings of BUTTERFLY

Renata Scotto, Carlo Bergonzi, and Rolando Panerai make a superb team, both in their singing and in their acting, for MADAMA BUTTERFLY. Another advantage of the recording (made in 1966) is the stereo sound, which allows all the details of Puccini's rich orchestration to be heard. Listening to this BUTTERFLY is almost as good as hearing a live performance of the opera. The accompanying book is very informative about Puccini, the opera itself, and the artists. It also has lush illustrations and includes a complete libretto in Italian and English. In short, this is another exceptional "Black Dog Opera Library" set.
