Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 Revealed, Deluxe Education Edition

This book is an excellent resource and is in excellent condition. the seller was great and shipped quickly.

I spent a week reviewing books for my upcoming web design class. I was torn between two books. This was the first and the other was "Dreamweaver 8 Hands on Training" by Lynda.com folks. What sold me on this book is the fact that it is a complete tool. It provides information in a straightforward manner on how design web pages from start to finish. It even had a small section on how to plan a web site and correlated that concept in the context of Dreamweaver by showing you how to create a sitemap. This book flows like silk. It will make an excellent reference for the future as well. I was very impressed. My students may not even need my help when covering Dreamweaver 8. The only disavantage of this book over "Dreamweaver 8 Hands on training" is that it is not in color and some topics such as colors and graphic use are omitted. Because of the broad spectrum that is covered within the context of Dreamweaver using this book and how well it flowed, I decided to get this book. I highly recommend it!

This book is a continuation of The Web Collection Revealed (deluxe education edition), and it is unfortunate that they didn't follow the layout (color) and design of that book through to this one. I opened the book and broke the binding right away. I tried to do the book break in tricks that I learned in elementary school - didn't help because I broke it again. A postive thing is that you can download the files from the website that go along with the exercises. However, due to this not being an education version the assignments weren't continued on with chapter 7 and up. I would recommend this book, because it has great hands-on exercises and the content is great. The quality of the book just needs to be improved.
