Yet another "Wow"

This is the second of Cheyenne's books I have read. First being "Zack." I never read the Ellora's cave versions. "Luke" is just as good as "Zack", but read Zack first. It helps you understand the story line better. The scenes were hotter than hot and the suspense was completely there. Not predictable at all. I will admit I found Trinity to be a little boring, but....in the end I loved her character almost as much as Luke...what can I say, I love cowboys!! I read this in two sittings of several hours each, an easy read, but not one I was able to put down.

Steamy hot cowboy

Trinity MacKenna moved away from Douglas, Arizona six years previous to start a new life. In that time, she transformed herself by losing weight, scoring a successful job, moving to London, England, and had a wealthy boyfriend with a hot accent. She decided to return to Arizona when she had a month off to visit her sister, Skylar, who still ran the family ranch. When she meets Luke Rider, she realizes that maybe her new life is missing what he may be able to give her. Luke Denver, aka Luke Rider, is an undercover government agent living as a ranch foreman on Skylar MacKenna's ranch to investigate potential drug smugglers. Having been focused on his job for so many years, he surprised himself to be immediately attractive and possessive of the beautiful Trinity. Can Trinity keep distance from the cowboy and can Luke maintain focus on doing his job while attempting to win Trinity? As with all Cheyenne McCray books, Luke is steaming hot. Luke is an alpha male that is completely overwhelming to Trinity. At times, he is almost too alpha, especially when Trinity cannot speak in complete sentences to him without stuttering. On the other hand, Trinity is an easy character to relate to. Unfortunately, I became angry with her towards the end. The pacing is pretty well done, although I thought some of the intriguing portions of Luke's job took away from his relationship with Trinity. Also, I felt the ending is rushed and messy, leaving several issues unresolved. Overall, Luke is supremely enjoyable. The romance is hot and intense, the relationship between Luke and Trinity believable even if a bit over the top (always getting caught in embarrassing situations), and you want to keep turning the pages. Give this book a try. You won't be disappointed. BookingIt Grade: A-

super police procedural romance

Trinity MacKenna spent the last four years in London where she has a thriving career and a boyfriend. However, she has finally returned home to spend the holidays with her family on their Flying M ranch in Arizona. At a welcome home party, Trinity meets the ranch's foreman Luke Denver. Each are attracted to one another as he wants her and her him though she insists she is going to marry some English bloke. However, Luke is actually an undercover DEA agent working the illegal drug trafficking accentuated by a turf war and the bust by County Sheriff Wayland of three Cochise College students for possession. He fears for Trinity and her sister Skylar as someone wants to use the ranch as a depot for shipping drugs. The second Armed and Dangerous undercover police procedural romance (see Zack) is a fast-paced, heated thriller as readers will want their own hot tubs. The key to this terrific entry is the case and the safety of civilians come before the sexual need although Luke and Trinity insures the audience has plenty of encounters of the first kind (and third kind for readers and voyeurs). As expected Cheyenne McCray deftly merges the heat of suspense with that of sex and love in this super thriller. Harriet Klausner

Luke: Armed and Dangerous

Things have changed since Trinity MacKenna left her hometown in Arizona four years ago. Her sister Skyler is happily married to her long time love Zach, and the town has a lot of new faces, one of which is Luke Denver. The town isn't the only thing that has changed though. Trinity has a new attitude and a new appearance, one Luke can't help but notice. When Luke and Trinity meet, it's lust at first site, but Trinity is determined to continue her life abroad. Luke is determined to have Trinity, but his undercover work may prevent their lust from turning to love. Luke's foundation is firmly set in erotic romance. From the moment they meet, literally, Luke and Trinity's chemistry explodes off the pages. After that first kiss, the eroticism triples. However, it takes longer for them to commit emotionally. Trinity has a few demons to face and a lot of decisions to make. Luke's sexy charm makes things a little easier for her, or harder, depending on how you look at it! There is more to Luke than a lot of hot sex though. The suspense and action are high and the ending has an exciting twist. Luke is a much expanded version of a previously published work by Ms. McCray. If you liked that story, you'll love Luke! Nannette Reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed
