A Review Of Love of Fate: Goddesses 4

I love these books! They give a cool new aproach to learning about Greek Mythology! At the bottom of some pages it has a little footnote about the character or place they're referring to. Thalia, Polly, and Era start out the book entering Hades with Charon, the boatsman that paddles you to Hades. The three goddesses arrive there and are put in a tiny room, curtesy of the Furies. An hourglass is chained to their wrists, counting down the 24 hours they can spend in Hades before they become permanent residents. Once here, they are given a list of thousands of chores to do. Hera has taken Zeus on a vacation to Ibiza so he doesn't know his girls are here. Apollo is in his mortal form of Dylan from Denver and with help from his twin sis Artemis, gets into Hades to rescue the girls. Hades the god gives him a magic helmet to make him invisible to everyone. It doesn't work on gatekeepers though, who will ask you a question if you want to get through. Apollo gives away the helmet to a gatekeeper when he answers a question wrong in order to avoid going back the Gates of Tartarus. Meanwhile Thalia, Polly, and Era are working on some of their many chores. They have regained some of their powers and use them to try and escape. It doesn't work the first time. Hera comes back to yell at the Furies and Polly stands up to her. Hera leaves the room with the Furies to yell at them some more, and her gown gets stuck in the door. The door doesn't lock and the girls make a dash for freedom. Apollo is working his way through the maze of Hades trying to find the girls. He meets a witch who will help him for an ounce of the poisonous slobber of the three-headed dog, Cerberus, who guards the Gates of Tartarus. With help from others in Hades, he gets to the Gates about the same time as the girls. Their time is running out. Era helps navigate the way around the maze and gets them to the gates. Thalia sends her sisters aboard a boat without her in order to save them. She finds Apollo and learns that he is Dylan from Denver and they surf out of Hades. A vacuum type thing sucks them out of Hades and they get home. They completed their challenges and Zeus welcomes them home.

Love or Fate is great!!!

In my opinion, Love or Fate is a great book to read. It's exciting, suspenseful, romantic, and everything a good book needs. I like this best out of all four Goddesses books, because I love happy endings, and Love or Fate's ending is WONDERFUL. Read it for yourself, and you'll see what I'm talking about!
