I picked up a signed copy of this book in a used bookstore in a small English town recently and started reading it right away. This partly autobiographical novel is about a woman in her late 30's who suddenly decides that she must get married and have a baby quickly. So she and a Dutch composer do so and set up housekeeping in small town Gloucestershire. A baby girl soon appears, the dirty dishes begin to multiply and the three live on in domestic, if untidy, bliss. I look forward to reading more of Sue Limb's books.
