In Treasure Island, Florida, Amanda Burns owns a bicycle shop that also sells skateboard. Except for her high maintenance sister, Amanda is happy with her life though she would not mind some romance. That is if annual customer Jerry Simpson was the other. Every year he rents a tandem, but nobody has ever seen him with anyone or for that matter riding the bicycle built for two. This year when he arrives, Amanda decides to learn more about her mysterious favorite customer. She learns he comes to the island to see his parents on their anniversary and rents the tandem for them. This summer she reaches out to him and with the encouragement of his mother they spend time together finding love, but what happens when it is time for him to leave the beach. This is terrific character driven relationship drama that showcases how a person needs cherished loving companionships. Jerry is close with his grandfather and his parents and them with him. Amanda has close friends, but would like to really get to know Jerry; what she knows already has her heart pumping with admiration and desire. Jerry is a caring soul who would do anything for his loved ones and though attracted to the bicycle store owner, he is shy on acting on his feelings. Fans will agree that love is the treasure to be found on the Floridian island (and elsewhere) as the lead couple, their loved ones and readers will affirm. Harriet Klausner

Debby Mayne has done it again. Love Finds You in Treasure Island, Florida, pulls you in from the first page to the last. Ms. Mayne's world building is amazing. Add that to character's who pull at your heartstrings and make you laugh at the same time and she's given us a wonderful book. One I thoroughly enjoyed.

Debby Mayne is a gifted and talented writer who has the ability to bring a setting to life. Her characters are people you want to spend time with and stay with you long after you've finished the book. Love Finds You in Treasure Island, Florida, is such a fun read that I finished it in two sittings and enjoyed every minute of it, laughing and grinning so much that I was certain my face resembled the Joker's. What can I say? I love this story! Why? Because.... Jerry Simpson is a real sweetheart, and his parents are a riot. However, will his devotion to his parent's keep him from a relationship with Amanda? Will Jerry allow an incident to keep him from Amanda forever? And just who is this Matthew fellow to Amanda? Is she in love with him? When love strolls into Amanda Burns' bicycle shop in the form of Jerry Simpson, will she watch it stroll right out again even though she's deeply attracted to him? Something holds Amanda back from giving her heart to him, or to any other man. Can she let whatever is holding her back go before it's too late? Mr. Simpson, Jerry's father, is obsessed with searching for treasure. Will he ever find it? And if so, will it be everything he ever imagined? Mrs. Simpson, Jerry's mother, goes into the matchmaking business, and her scheming antics are hilarious. She's bound and determined to see two people she loves get hitched. I love reading Debby Mayne's books. No matter how she builds her stories ... with laughs, with a little mystery or a lot of romance ... there's always something that touches the heart right at the center. In Love Finds You in Treasure Island, Florida, Mayne has created believable and identifiable characters in a charming surrounding. Her writing is exquisite, and the payoff at the end makes me a longtime fan of this writer.

Debby Mayne is a very talented author who brings her characters to life and makes you want to spend time with them. I was actually sad when I finished reading `Love Finds You in Treasure Island, Florida' because I wanted to continue hanging out at the bike shop with Amanda, Jerry, Timmy, Rosemary and Harold to see what would happen next in their lives. Debby Mayne drew me in at the very beginning of her book with her vivid description of Treasure Island. I am now planning a road trip with friends to go have lunch at Captain Kosmakos in Treasure Island. We hope to see Jerry's parents riding around on their bicycle built for two. Their antics and banter were a funny but poignant part of the story. I love Debby Mayne's style of writing, as she develops her characters in a story that incorporates romance, values, morals, humor and real-life hardships and issues. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading her other books soon
