A raven-haired beauty finds love with El Lobo, a fierce bounty hunter, across the American Old West in this historical romance from the author of "The Princess Goes West". This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is my first book by Rebecca Brandewyne and all I can saw is WOW!! I was really captivated by Storm and Wolf's story. Few authors can start a book off present day, then the rest of the book is basically a flashback to lead you back to that point; RB made it work...I only wish there was an epilogue to tell you what the kids thought of her story (about her and Cathy Stuart) and to know what Storm felt about her first trip into town into that town after 10 years. The book also gives you a bit of a backstory on the different players who have interactions with Storm and Wolf, but I don't feel like it took away from their story...in many ways it helps you understand their behaviors.
What I liked most about the book is that you see growth in both Storm and Wolf. It's not an instant love match and they don't fall instantly in lust either. I feel like their characters are well developed and through all the trials and tribulations, you find you can't help but root for Storm and Wolf to come out on top in the end. If Storm had been the same pampered princess at the end as she was at the beginning, I don't think I would've like her as much. In the beginning, you could tell how naive and innocent she was, and although she was upset about her uncle calling shots on her life, it was like she was too afraid to stand up for herself because of appearances and trying to protect the "family name". But after that first abduction and being sold to Wolf in a card game, she really came into her own...she realized she needed to be more than just the "belle of the ball". You have to hand it to her, even as afraid of Wolf as she was, Storm showed gumption and tenacity in getting him to help her learn how to survive on her own. From Texas to Mexico to California and back, you see getting knocked down, but no matter how bad it is, she doesn't stay down. Wolf is a complex man who's fighting many demons and unresolved issues from his past. You get why he broods and keeps close to himself; but his initial interactions with Storm in trying to scare her off are rather hilarious. You can also see that he's scared of caring too much and losing again. But over the course of the book, those walls he's carefully constructed gradually come crumbling down. Just below the surface you could see the insecurities they're both were struggling with. Storm and Wolf both lash out and do some hurtful things to each other out of the fear of not being loved enough or thinking they weren't wanted, which of course led to some incidents could have been avoided. But hey, what romance novel doesn't have lack of communication and excess of assumptions.
This book is definitely a keeper for me.
By Far the Best Ever!

I became addicted to Rebecca Brandewyn after "No Gentle Love" because of her adventurous plots and uncommon sexual relationships. "Love Cherish Me" is full of twists and turns that make the reader feel as if they have truly been with Wolf and Storm through the years of their lives. I've never cried while reading a book before, but I did this one. Brandewyne is a marvelous author who keeps her readers captured even after the novel is done....READ THIS BOOK!!
My first romance novel and one of the best ever

This novel literally moved me to tears. Storm, the leading lady of the story, is a spoiled Southern belle at first, completely sheltered. She meets a mysterious man called Wolf who is part Native American (or so he says) after an incident leaves her alone in the prairie. Storm slyly gets the gruff and resistant Wolf to help her, and in the process they fall in love. Storm is meanwhile transformed into a woman who can take care of herself. Then the story changes gears, and she is put back in her old life-but Wolf reappears and changes her world again. Learning Wolf's own story is just as interesting and moving. He has been so hardened, yet learned to love again. Beautiful! The transitions of the characters of Storm and Wolf are amazing and so touching. This book hooked me on romance novels twenty years ago. I laughed, cried and in the end was left very satisfied. This novel is a gift to the romance industry.
A love story to capture a young woman's heart

This is a love story to capture a young woman's heart and hold it 16 yrs later. It is a story that is so unpredictible not like most romances. It is full of laughter and tears....and you literally do both. Wolf is a man women see as pure strength! And Storm is a woman who will survive! One of my favorite parts is where Storm dances in her red dress, God to have that freedom and have your man desire you as Wolf did her! I have read hundreds of romance novels and this one far surpasses every one! Thank you Rebecca Bradewyne for giving me strength thru your words and for giving me a love story to last me a life time! Oh and I have given away every romance novel i have ever read except this one, and i have kept it with me thru 16 yrs of love, laughter, and tears.....once again Thankyou Rebecca!!
Love, cherish me-i'd search the world for another copy.

1986 was the year I picked up this captivating romance novel.I remember thinking "lord this is a thick one" I opened the cover and from the very first paragraph,I was inthrawed with the characters and the plot. The author took you from High sociity to the pits of hell, the untamed west. This so captivated my imagination that in the years since,I have not forgotten this book(which i completed in 5 days). I would have named my last child Storm,if only "HE" had been a girl. This character went through so much and the way she handled herself, struck a cord with me.To survive and to thrive is the best revenge ever. Thank you Rebecca for your words, they take us back to where it all started....in the hearts of all who have loved so intensly ..........
