I liked this book because I found it very interesting. I was able to read about a culture that I didn't know, and get a better understanding. It was a sad, horrible time for Japanese Americans, something that I think many of us forget- this story makes us remember.

I just fell in love with this book. I believe it is one of her best novels yet. It is the perfect story of love and romance. I would recomend it for anybody who loves a good romance.

With wonderfully painted characters and a "self-reflective" plot, Danielle Steel creates a terrific story about the Asian culture and WWII. She obviously has done much research about the time era and culture. I was astounded by the situations that the Japanese American people had to tolerate.
