Book Overview

"Every believer in Jesus Christ deserves the opportunity of personal nurture and development." says LeRoy Eims. But all too often the opportunity isn't there. We neglect the young Christian in our whirl of programs, church services, and fellowship groups. A classic

This famous book is an excellent introduction to the idea of disciple making, this book includes a few study guides in the back that could be used in a cooperative study with disciples. Eims is passionate to persuade people of the value of disciple making. The only unfortunate thing about this book is that it is brief, and only covers the early stages of this lost art. - Dennis McCallum, author Organic Disciplemaking: How to promote Christian leadership development through personal relationships, biblical discipleship, mentoring, and Christian community

what i've been missing

There is nobody out there teaching us this stuff. This is what we as Christians have been missing. We have to fight to learn to disciple others effectively and this is one of the best books i have ever read and one of the best places to start.

Learn to be a disciple and train others to become disciples

I enjoyed this book, and have passed it on to another in leadership at our church. The appendix alone is worth the cost of this book, giving suggestions for areas of growth for all believers.

Great book for Small Group Leaders

This is a great book for small group leaders! I found it very informative, it guides you through a serious steps and ideas to stimulate growth in yourself or the people in your group that you are mentoring. I recommend this book to everyone who has some type of leadership in the church. Easy read, very enjoyable, and very informative.

A Must Buy!

Leroy Eims has hit the nail on the head with this book! My copy of it is about 10 or 11 years old and I still use it! Without a doubt, Eims has mastered one-on-one discipleship in this book. He shares with us the importance of disciple-making and how to do it correctly and systematically. He tells us what to look for in a potential disciple and the four progressive steps in the life of a Bible student: a convert, a disciple, a worker, and a leader. If you want to know the nuts and bolts of personal discipleship, this book is for you! Does anyone have his email or snail mail address? If so, please email it to me! Thanks.
