great children's book featuring multiracial Amy Hodges

Authors Kim Wayans and Kevin Knotts really capture what it's like to be a kid, from the opening scene where they are nervously anticipating the assembly at school, to the hesitation Amy expresses being a student new to the school coming from being homeschooled, to the tension between the kids when they get lost at the end of the book. A great read that captures what it's like to be a kid.
