Great book for emergent reader!

I was also led to this book through Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons. I loved that it was so easy that my new reader could easily conquer it! This gave her a confidence that she could conquer other books also. This book's story is mainly told through the pictures, and this allows a new reader to read and comprehend quickly.
Memory from my childhood

I'm 30 now and my parents gave me a lot to read when I was growing up, but this one really stands out in my memory. I remember it being such an adventure. The characters get themselves into all sorts of trouble through their showing off. This book communicates a lot more than just the written words.

Two show-offs compete to come up with a better antic. This creates havoc for the animals in their paths and eventually both of them! Execellent facial expressions and a fun ending make this a book for all ages.
