An Indian war party is ready for an all-out massacre of a passel of miners who may or may not have killed a squaw. Now it's up to Longarm to bring about peace--while keeping himself in one piece.
We don't often find Longarm speaking the Ute language. However he now has his back against the wall and he has no alternative but to speak to the spirit to ask his help in solving this case. It is a well written story, packed with all sorts of action and keeps the readers interest from beginning to end. Longarm finds himself in a situation, not of his making, with a deadline on finding the murderer of a young Indian maiden,Blue Quail Singing;otherwise an Indian war party has promised to massacre a large group of miners to revenge the murder of their clan sister. Time has run out, and things look hopeless;but not to worry, our hero will find a solution.A great read and as good as the episodes of this long running series gets!!
