After a sandstorm blows over, Longarm finds himself in the middle of an abandoned town that was previously hidden under sand. And he marks the spot where some hidden loot was buried, drawing thieves like corpses draw buzzards.
Another fantastic adult western yarn with Deputy Marshal Custis Long.

This great western begins with Deputy Marshal Custis Long trailing six owl hoots to the town of Brimstone, which is on the edge of an unforgivable hell of a desert. As with all my reviews of non-fiction novels, I will not give away too much and spoil it for the reader. Like all of the Longarm series, this story has shootouts, fights, a little romance, and even drama. Deputy Marshal Long keeps getting himself in bad situations and this makes you keep reading to find out how he gets out of another mess. The desert scenes, where Custis set out to search for the bad guys, really makes you feel like you are with him in the sand storm. He ends up in the ghost town of Abaddon but he is not alone. The tale flows from one bad situation to another in its fifteen chapters. Whether you are a fan of the Longarm adult western series or just someone who enjoys reading a good western yar you will enjoy this book. Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J.
