Lobster emerges from his rocky hiding place off the Maine coast and prowls for dinner while watching for predators, a task made even more difficult after he molts. This description may be from another edition of this product.
I've never a book about a lobster moulting, but now I have. I purchased the large, hardbound book, so the artwork is beautiful and the words are easy to read. It's definitely not for early readers to read on their own, but fun to read to your blossoming scientist

The actual size of the book was a lot smaller than I expected. It's smaller than a postcard. But that said, the illustrations and story are really great -- interesting AND educational, good for kids 5 to 12. I'm a marine biologist and have taught environmental ed to grades 4 thru 12, and I feel that this book is a cool little tidbit to pass on to kids.
