Excellent supernatural fantasy

Book 9 in the Women of the Otherworld Series This latest book from Kelley Armstrong continues to expand the supernatural universe within our own world. We encounter many familiar faces; Paige, Lucas, Savannah, Adam, Hope, Karl, Jeremy and his werewolf family. We also meet Robin, a human with no special skills, who gets caught up in a murder investigation when her PR client is killed in a nightclub. This book is quite complex to read and cannot be enjoyed properly without reading the rest of the series. It does expand upon the author's previous style of jumping between different characters to tell the story. I enjoyed the different points of view but I am quite a fast reader and read the book immediately after re-reading the rest of the series but I do understand other reviewers having some problems with the fast pace. I always eagerly await the next Kelley Armstrong and am grateful that she also managed to bring out her charity book "Men of the Otherworld" at a similar time so that her fans can really expand their knowledge of her universe. I cannot wait to see where Kelley goes next with this world - please keep on writing.

Another winner.

I've read all of Kelley Armstrong series. Just keep waiting on her to write the next one. I'm going to read all of the Men of the Otherworld series also. Excellent reads.

Wished I had started at book 1!

This is a good series but I really wished I had began at book one because I was a little lost. The book kind of stands alone but I still wish I had began in the beginning. I liked Robyn who I actually thought made the whole story much better. I'm not sure I would have liked it half as well if she hadn't been in story. There were a lot of characters and even though chapters are named by the person's name in that story, I still found it a little off putting. There is a lot of action and suspense but not much humor.... but I was enthralled enough to keep reading it in one setting, and definitely plan on getting the rest of the series. I thought the necromancer element was a good idea too. I'm not much for romance but I kind of hope Robyn and Finn eventually get together.

Kelley Armstrong Hits a Home Run.....

I've read all of Kelley Armstrong's books. I've loved most with just a couple of exceptions. "Living With the Dead" was up there at the top, I enjoyed it as much as her first, "Bitten." I'm surprised at the negative reviews, I thought this was just fantastic, so well-written and absorbing. I guess to some degree it's just taste. I didn't came for the previous book "Personal Demon" and it was one of my husband's favorites.

Another great book

This one starts a little slow. But once you get used to humans being involved in the otherworld, it's a great read. Hope has really come into her own, she is one of the most interesting charaters. Kelley has really shown her ability to create believeable races from the many things that go bump in the night.
