Highly instructive and enlightening

In this wonderful and insightful book Rabi Tatz relates how exploring and understanding some of the deeper and more spiritual Torah concepts can gives us true enlightenment and insight in our daily lives. Rabbi Tatz reveals new dimensions of understanding and how we will find fulfillment and come closer to achieving our goals by reaching greater spiritual depth and understanding. The author begins by explaining three key concepts associated with Creation. The first being the beginning, the transition from nothing to something. The second is the process itself, the condensing of creative energy into tangible form. The first reality is male, the second female, the third element is the harmony of the two poles being melted into a new reality. The author explains how inspiration can fade into disappointment and how we can make this give way to a greater inspiration and hope, giving the analogy of human birth. He explains how suffering can become redemption as it has in the history of the Jewish people. The author deals as to the questions of why we are here, and explores the Torah concepts of the various physical, mental and spiritual levels of consciousness. The inner mind or 'da'as' being the vessel of knowledge and the root of wisdom being the 'ratzon' or will. He also outlines the importance of women in Jewish destiny and gives several examples such as that the turning point was brought about by a little Jewish girl Miriam, who chided her father Amran when he separated from his wife Yocheved, resulting in them coming together again and giving birth to the redeemer Moses. This book is highly instructive, highly enlightening and highly recommended, The pieces come together in a way that leaves us both amazed and inspired.

Fantastic book - very worthwhile read for anyone with q's on Judaism

I can't reccomend this book enough. Rabbi Tatz does a phenomenal job of tackling some serious questions and his answers will leave you very astounded.

Encouraging, but not pushy...

My ultra religious sister gave me this book to read. It's easy to read and very thought provoking. During/after reading Tatz's book, I find myself becoming more and more interested in practicing Judaism. I was always afraid of Orthodox Judaism because i didn't want to "just trust some old rabbis." But Tatz gave me the spiritual insipiration to learn more and practice more (during which i found that Orthodox Judaism doesn't simply "trust some old rabbis.")I feel good after reading this book. I read a lot on Tibetan Buddhist philosophy and felt like I was reading a book from one of the Lama's! Both Judaism and Buddhism have a lot in common, making for some great guidance and reading material. Highly recommend "Living Inspired" for anyone, especially those who want to know more about Judaism but don't know where to start.

The Torah way of seeing the world

In this book the author, based on the classical Torah sources, defines and analyzes how the pattern of the mystical, higher world is expressed in our lives. He uncovers the superficial way of looking at some of the key concepts in life, and shows the deep meaning in them. His explanations about what is the higher pattern in life, doubt and certainty, time, the root of evil and other topics are deep, clear, and well-connected. I find this book to be an aid in being connected to the spiritual, and reread it often - to recall its points and to renew my inspiration.

Inspiring ideas based on traditional Jewish texts.

This masterpiece by Rabbi Dr. Akiva Tatz is sure to become a favorite. The ideas on life, living, happiness, inspiration, etc. contained in this book will have you re-reading it for the second, third, and fourth time. The deep philosophical ideas presented in the work are a culmination of thousands of years of information from Jewish knowledge treasure chests, such as the Bible, Talmud, Zohar, early sages such as Maimonides, later wisdom by Rabbi Chaim of Volozhin to recent sages like Rabbi E. Dessler. Also see Anatomy of a Search, Worldmask, and Reb Simcha Speaks by the same author
