I bought this book for my 18 month old, and she likes it pretty well. I think she'll enjoy it more when she gets a little older. Things I like: Sturdy board book, CD with soothing vocals, Biblical promises that are mostly in easy to understand language. Things that could be better: The illustrations are pastels; (why do publishers do this when studies show - and parents know! - that children far prefer color? Also, some of the promises might be in too complex lanuage and will require parental explanation. Here are the promises in the book (paraphrased, unless you see quotes): You are special and unique. God created you in his image. God lovesyou. Your faith pleases him. "Through the promise God made to Abraham, you are a part of God's great family" You can talk to God anytime and he will hear you. God will be with you, and protect you always. God sent Jesus, his son, so that "you might have the promise of eternal life" "When you pray, God promises to always answer your prayers." Go to sleep without worry, because God never sleeps, and he is watching over you. Nothing will ever separate you from God's love. God is the best friend you will ever have. God's son Jesus is a good shepard who'd lay down his life for you.
