Lion is Down in the Dumps

Lion, like all the Sweet Pickle characters, gets in a 'pickle'. All the books teach life lessons (the 'sweet' part) and the lesson here belongs a little bit to Lion, but more to his friends. When I read this book to my children, sometimes I'd have to explain the lesson, sometimes not. In Lion's case, I had to explain that borrowing something is all right as long as you give the item back! My daughters enjoyed the books and learned so much they want to replace the entire series for their children.
