This is a fun, vibrant and adventuresome little book that few hands can resist touching!

There are all kinds of different lines from straight to wiggling and swirling. The pink snake's tail has a little wiggle to it and moves from side to side. If an elephant tries to walk across a rickety old suspension bridge the lines of it are going to bend and droop. If a giant octopus sticks his tentacles up through the surface of the water and points them to the sky the lines on the surface of the water will be wavy. A kitty cat's whiskers are long and curvy and can tickle, tickle a little girl's chin. A bulb or seed can sprout and the lines are here and there helping the leaves look to the sun. Even if you've thought this book has run out of lines there are ones that "stick right out," trap, hide, run "side by side," curve and curl, swirl, criss-cross, mend, "lines with doggies at the end," scurry, "lines in threes," you can find them in trees, there are ones that twist, sway, you'll see the horse's tail swish those old flies away, zigzag lines in a storm, rainbow lines and more. What kinds of lines can you think of? This is a fun, vibrant and adventuresome little book that few hands can resist touching. Each line or set of lines in this book is raised and sprinkled with bright blue glitter. Each page will set your little ones hands moving to find where the line or lines are going as the urge to follow them is simply irresistible. The simple rhyming scheme would make this one fun to use during circle or storytime, but you can count on lots of little hands wanting to touch the book even before you put it down!

Adorable book, good for therapy

I picked this book up at the library the other day, and my daughter liked it so much I put it on her wish list. My daughter has a sensory processing disorder, as well as fine motor issues, and it's been great for her to try to trace the bumpy lines with her finger. The illustrations are really cute, the "story" is rhymey, it's not winning any Pulitzers, but it's readable.

Great in the art room

My elementary art students loved this book! It is a great way to introduce lines. They loved the monsters and the funny expressions the monsters had on their faces. The blue glittery lines helped them to follow the line in the book from page to page.
