Tons of Suspense - My Favorite in This Series So Far

This is not a stand-alone book, so be sure to read "You Slay Me" and "All Fired Up" first. I listened to the audio version of this book and Barbara Rosenblat gives a another stellar performance telling this fun, witty and suspensful story. Aisling Gray moves to London with her demon sidekick Jim, to be the guardian apprentice of her friend Nora. Once again, she is joined by her "taxi driver" Rene and of course, her "mate" Drake and a host of other characters. The story really picks up in this third installment and the is FULL of suspense that had me at the edge of my seat. As I listened to the audioversion of this book, I could not help but comment aloud. The relationship with Drake, her very dominant, arrogant and somewhat controlling green dragon "mate" is explored a lot in this installment. While there's certainly tons of sizzle between them, it's the relationship between them that's really explored. While this story is intended to be smart and sexy, I found the relationship aspect that was explored to be quite touching. The dragons are at war, someone is trying to kill Aisling, the imps are out for Aisling because of an unfortunate accident and there's a dark force that's introduced. With all that is going on, Aisling doesn't have much time to learn about the "other world" and finds herself improvising and doing things (and in a way) that will make you laugh. Her and Jim's sarcasim also provide lots of comedy to this fun fun story. My only disappointment is that I don't have the 4th installment of this book in my hands right now and that it does not have an audio version. I will be heading to the bookstore today to pick of the next one as well as the 2 Silver Dragon spinoff series books.

Aisling finally gets her man

This was the best book in the series. Aisling and Drake grew up and learned the art of compromise. And their interaction with his mother was hilarious. This book is a definite keeper.

Funny Witty and Full of Action

Although these books are almost a yr apart for us, they are only a couple of weeks apart for Aisling. Aisling Grey, Guardian, Demon Lord, and Wyvern's Mate, is in London, living with Nora, her mentor. She is trying to avoid Drake her mate but naturally he finds her to tell her she is needed at a meeting of the Green Wyverns. Nora is also notified that she must stop tutoring Aisling and is being brought before a board for taking her as apprentice. Drake is trying to understand her position and promises to let her try to take care of her own problems. When she and Drake are togather there are fires literally everywhere. The romance is very hot. On her first assignment, Jim eats the king of the imps, now the whole imp nation is after her. Not to mention someone has tried to kill her twice so far. Both Gabrial, the Silver Wyvern, and Fiat, the Blue Wyvern, are back. Who can tell what they are up to? Rene, our mysterious cab driver, is also back. The members of the Otherworld,in Paris, want Aisling to become Venediger. The Demon Lord, Ariton, who is trying to become Lord of Abaddon snatches her to demand that she vote for him. It seems she has a vote on who will rule Abaddon when Baal steps down. We also learn there is a fifth sept of Wyverns, the Black Sept. Drake is now at war with the Red Sept. Aisling realizes she needs a book of rules for Guardians, a book of rules for Demon Lords, and especially a book for Wyvern's Mates. What she doesn't know can hurt, or maybe kill her, even if she is immortal. There is so much more, you don't have a minute to take a breath. It is the best one so far, and if you haven't read the others you need to quickly get them. You don't have to read them in order but they are so much better it you do. I can't recommend this one enough. I LOVED it. The humor is witty, the romance hot, and the action is unstoppable. Gooo!! Aisling!!! and Katie MacAlister. The most awful part is waiting for the next one to come out.

Excellent.

Aisling "Ash" Grey is a demon lord, a Guardian, and a wyvern's mate all at once. She never asked for it all and wants nothing more than for her life to slow down and ease up a bit. She moves to London expecting to be mentored by Nora Charles. Instead, Ash's life (once again) begins spinning out of control. Nora is given an order prohibiting her from acting as a mentor to Aisling. Jim, Ash's demon sidekick in dog form, has accidentally eaten the ruler of the imps so now the imps are after them. Ash is a candidate for a dangerous job that she does NOT want. (She has more than she can handle already.) There is another demon lord breathing down her neck and to top it all off Drake shows back up to summon her to attend a mandatory synod of the green dragons. What else can possibly go wrong? ***** The setting may have changed a bit, but the story is still going strong. This gem will keep you up well past your bedtime and turning pages at lightning speed.
