Story of Jewish Family in Berlin, world war ll

As with the other two books of the Horrowitz family Saga..this is the last of their legacy...and is written just as wonderfully as the other two books. This one of course tells About Levi's private life, and what happened to him the moment he left his parents house to escape through Switzerland and into England. His parents, mainly his father, had set it all up..that his oldest son, was to at least save himself from the Nazi's, and God willing they would get papers for the rest of the family and join him in a few months. That wish never came true..the family was split apart, the father and two younger sons were sent to Daschu encampment, and the sister Rachel, and her mother, were together for a while in hiding, then each had to split up for the safety of not being seen or found together. Levi's life wasen't as easy as they all thought, being tucked away in London, he was approached by the secret service and he was given special training to become a spy for the British Government...because he was so useful to them, in that he spoke 5 different languages, and was a master piano player, this was important as part of his cover story...and a way to get him next to Hitler, to listen and gather information to send back to London. Levi jumped at the chance ...anything to help put an end to the war, and that crazy man Adolf Hitler. Poor Levi's life was was anything but easy !!! He was spotted by a childhood friend that he was very fond of, and to keep his cover, why he was in Berlin, dressed as a German, in an officer's uniform, Levi had to kill him. There's soooo much more to the story, he was a hero many times over. Levi had passed away, and a video recording surfaces from 1945, showing Levi telling his story to the British officials in the army, from his face to face meetings with Hitler, to joining the Partisans in Italy and helping change the outcome of the Germans Rein in Italy. Through the story they also hear from Levi's own admittance of him being a gay man, and losing the one person he deeply cared and loved very much. Much to the shock of the family, they were saddened to know about everything he had gone through, but remained so quiet about any of it his whole life. This was truly a very touching story about Levi...who always stayed so humble, and dignified and loyal to the very end. EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, beautifully written Family Saga, I highly recommend this wonderful story! It definitely deserves All of 5 stars...and more !!
