Level C Volume 3

Level C (as dirty as it is) tends to keep me hooked no matter. Number three progresses the plot and makes the series sooo much more interesting

If you like fluffy romance and lots of hot sex scenes without a heavy plotline, then the Level C series won't disappoint you. Yes the plot is minimal, but the steamy sex makes up for it. The artwork isn't top-notch, but neither is it the bottom of the barrel. I actually thought it was rather nicely drawn. There actually is more of a story than much of the yaoi that we americans are able to get and the soft romance is a great counter-point to the more weighty, angst-ridden stories that we're used to reading.

I really liked this book. Sure, there's no 'there' there. It's really just about two guys who meet, have sex a lot, and are in love. But geez, the sex is hot and the love is warm and snuggly. I do have to address the 'wimpy uke' thing. I'm also one of those die-hard yaoi fans that finds it highly disturbing that so many yaoi manga seem to extol the virtues of rape. Like the ony way the uke can still be respected is if they're screaming 'no' the entire time they're having sex. One of the things I liked most about Level C was that it felt like the uke was genuinely confused by his body's reactions to things that (obviously) he's been socialized to view as gross and wrong, but was also (obviously) enjoying himself greatly. And the seme, while pushing the uke's boundaries, never seemed (to me, anyway) to violate them. In fact, he's downright gentlemanly, by far the most considerate and non-jugemental seme I think I've ever seen in hardcore yaoi (except, of course, the brilliant Skyscrapers of OZ.) All in all - I think this is sweet, sexy porn. I'd probably rate it a four-and-a-half stars if I could, just because there's absolutely no plot, but I feel it's one of the sweetest PWP mangas I've read in ages.

This is a nice older Yaoi Manga released by Kitty Media. Though it is very censored there is enough lovely dirty pillow talk to keep Yaoi Fans happy. Almost every page there seems to be no plot what so ever except `I'll give you a night of pleasure to stay at your house for the night' and it all seems to be made up of boinking. All the chapters are a lovely read for any Yaoi Fan.
