I recieved the book in brand new condition, however, I wished that the seller had disclosed the fact that the text book came with a work book. Had I known, I would have purchased both, even though my instructor stated that they should have been sold as a unit. Unfortunately for me, that was after the fact. I would purchase from the seller again, as the book was new and sent speedily. Next time I will double check so I won't miss a thing. Thank you to the seller.

This book is a general overview of the world of counseling. It gives you the basic knowledge to decide if you want to pursue a career as a professional counselor. It also is helpful if you are going into counseling to find out if the counselor you are choosing is right for you. The knowledge you will gain will allow you to get the most out of each counseling session.

This book gets down to the very basics of therapy. It is a good read for beginners in the counseling field.
