This is a concise, exhaustive leadership training manual for leaders in any profession. Lessons For Leaders, Dr. Rice's last book, was great. Leadership Fitness is actually better organized and contains an incredible amount of instruction regarding how a leader prepares himself to be a great leader, and how he maintains and improves himself and his ability to lead. Students, coaches, teachers, pastors, moms or dads, and volunteer leaders will love this book. Leaders or prospective leaders in the business world could get "a leg up" on the competition by learning and applying the principals discussed in this publication. Some leadership books are mainly fluff, with a low percentage of information that is actually useful; Dr. Rice's Leadership Fitness has a high percentage of the book that is actually "golden" in its potential to create and develop fine leaders. This is definitely worth the money for yourself or as a gift. Written in short chapters, you can pick and choose the topics that interest you, if you choose to approach the book in this manner.
