Chapters start with a chapter outline, objectives, and a test your understanding that is a short pretest to determine the knowledge before reading the chapter. It highlights important themes and provides feedback. Your opinion counts is an opinion poll from all students using the text. Think critically provides related interactive learning activities. Benchmarks allow students to do a short quiz at the end of each section. Exhibit boxes and figures are throughout the book and provide additional information. Summary and applications have computer links for summary, practice quiz, key terms, tying it all together, experiential exercises, case1, and links. You need a user ID and pass word to use the computerized activities. Each chapter ends with references and additional readings. This book is very scholarly with relatively recent references. It presents traditional leadership and management content using many bullets with additional explanations. Concepts are often in bold print followed by unbolded explanations. The 556 page 10 ¾ by 8 ½ inch book is hard to hold to read, so I put it on a table. This is an undergraduate textbook. It is a Flash-e-Book that is a book that combines print and electronic media that should be particularly appealing to the younger generation.
