only for stans

i don't normally read autobios of contemporary singers but wen i seen this book which i never knew even existed i had to pick it up. lauryn hill is the most important musical artist of our generation. the only thing i remember about this book was that wyclef got here speaking no english and then learned it and became a star singing that foreign language to the whole world. that's pretty f'n impressive! it was cool to read about lauryn but if you aint a huge fan like me you won't find this book that interesting. certain parts where they sized up all her albums and songs were pretty boring but aside from that it was easy reading. when lauryn hill is old and gray i believe her bio will be alot better than this one. she's doing big things

Lauryn Rocks!

This book is really good. It really describes how incredible of person Lauryn is. I love Lauryn, and I think its a great biography!

A very emotional account of Hill's achievements

As a huge fan of Lauryn Hill, I thought I already knew a lot about her. Still, Chris Nickson provides extra substantial information for everyone interested in the young artist. Without having had the chance to speak to Hill personally and engage her in discussions, he manages to give a gripping account of her career achievements by solely drawing his material from previous articles about her. The result is quite appaling, and, luckily, he leaves speculations out. This is not a huge biography, but it's an emotional report of someone who clearly adores Hill and wanted to write about her as soon as possible.
