Latitude Zero

When I first saw this book I thought the description on the front cover, "Jurassic Park meets Lord of the Flies", was a bit corny. I was, however, pleasantly surprised when I could not put the book down. We all wonder what it would be like to be shipwrecked on a desert island. The characters are completely believable, as at first they think they have found paradise but when they realise no rescue is coming, will do anything to survive. There are definitely some undertones to "Lord of the Flies". The only complaint I have is that the ending seemed too rushed and not completely satisfying. Still, worth the read.
