Again I just love it!!! the writing is such that you can feel yourself there!!! I love the compassion and understanding and complete devotion these lovers have for one another, plus just the thought of being able to run wild with the animals as one of them is enuf to keep me interested!!! If you love hot guys and romance and damsels in distress with a very happy ending then this is the one for you!!!!

Wonderful Story - I highly recommend

I must admit I just love Christine Feehan's writing style. I have enjoyed every one of her novels and would actually highly recommend anything she writes. I especially loved this story and the characters. Isabella Vernaducci is an aristocrat and she needs help. Her brother has been imprisoned by an enemy and she needs him rescued before he is killed. She has nowhere to turn, so she decides to go to the home of Don Nicolai DeMarco and plead her brother's case. Don Nicolai DeMarco is a very rich and powerful aristocrat. He is also cursed. He meets Isabella and offers to save her brother if she agrees to live in his home and marry him. She agrees. Now Isabella and Don DeMarco will have to work together to solve this curse before it kills Isabella like it has every other DeMarco women who has loved the DeMarco men. Excellent excellent story. I highly recommend.

OOO La La!

Christine, you have written a masterpiece - don't believe what the negative reviewers have said about your book. I was mesmerized by this intriguing story of love, betrayal, lust, and revenge. Yes, the story did drag on and on a little, and she did wrap a lot of loose ends in the last few pages, but these novels are always about the journey. Personally, this book was very good, it kept me interested, and I had a hard time putting it down. I just fell in love with Isabella. She was such a beauty in a very dark place, and she was strong, assertive, bold, audacious, and she did it all with grace. All I can say is "bring a box of kleenex with you when you read this book, even if (especially if) you expect to read in public. Isabella is a true heroine.

Ms Feehan Does It Again

It is amazing that Ms Feehan can continue to write such passionate, intriguing, and romantic stories after all this time. Most authors seem to burn out or are to rushed to write with the passion that start with. Ms Feehan has written a fresh and wonderful story of love, compassion, understanding and a willingnes to do anything to free the one you love from a terrible curse.Isabella is a strong, independent and intelligent women. Who comes to Don DeMarco to get his help in freeing her brother. When the Don proposes that she stay as his bride in exchange for his help she agrees. She realizes that there are dark forces at work in the castle and that she is the focus of those forces. She maintains an open mind and willingness to see past the stories and rumors to find the truth. She comes to care deeply for Nicolai and the people of the DeMarco stornghold.Nicolai agrees to help Isabella free her brother never guessing that this young women will become to key to his salvation. He has a terrible secret that he knows will drive her away or lead to her death, but he cannot send her away. He grows to love her and knows they must find a way to be together. The story is fast paced, with humor and lots of intrigue. I read the book in record time. I recommend any of Ms Feehan's books. She is a wonderful writer and continues to write great stories.

Feehan's best!!

I know everyone utterly adore's Christine Feehan's Carpathian Saga's, and I am a fan as well, but I think she really shows her true talent in The Scarletti Curse and now this this one.She single-handedly brings Gothics back into fashion with an updated style, giving us the brooding hero, the fearless heroine and all the spooky shadows guaranteed to keep the readers on the edge their seats. The story is basically a beauty and beast redo...the cursed Don Nicolai DeMarco doomed to destroy the woman he marries and Isabella Vernaducci defying everything to save, first her brother, and then the man she loves. Feehan breathes life into the faded Gothics and Faerytales alike and I say MORE MORE MORE!!So fans of the old series Beauty and the Beast - here is a treat for you!!
