Kym

Yes, the book by Joyce Stranger: "Kym, the true story of a Siamese cat" is really a must, if you are a cat lover. I only have had the book for a few months and I already have read it about 5 times. I thought this strange, but as I read one of the other reviewers has read it more than 5 times, it didn't seem strange at all, as the book is funny, pinpointing a cats behaviour and I recognized a lot from cats I myself have had in my life. The book is also in some places heartbreaking and sad, though you wouldn't be without that. One must also appriciate Joyce Stranger's great love, insight and most of all her great respect for animals. Again: read it.

I had fond memories of reading this book as a kid, and I just had to try and find it again. When I finally found it, it was just as wonderful reading it at 27 as at 10. Ms. Stranger really brings across Kym's personality in her writing (and he sure had a lot of personality to bring across!). It was hilarious, touching, happy, sad....the reader really gets a feel for how much this animal was a part of their lives. Has to be one of my favorite books ever.

This was the best books about an animal I have ever read. I named one of my siamese cats after Kym. I cried so much! I also laughed and people looked at me like I was crazy. If you love cats then I strongly recommend this one!

This book was my FAVOURITE book - before I read FELIDAE. Joyce Stranger tells the story of her Siamese cat Kym, from his birth to his dead (the end of the book is very sad *sniff*). But the rest of the book is funny, I had to laugh very often. I think I read it more than 10 times... You MUST read it!!
