Kristy Power!

In this book (the fifth book in the Friends Forever series), Kristy is paired up with Cary Retlin, her arch-enemy, to write a biography about him. While going to his house to get facts about him from his family, she steps into his room and accidentally peeks into an open spiral on his desk...Meanwhile, parents are crusading to take away a book list that the great new teacher at SMS has issued to his eighth grade students. Kristy, students from SMS, and parents of the students go to a hearing to get Ted (the teacher's) job back. My thoughts: I really liked this book- and that people stood up for what they believed in to "fight the power", so to speak, and used their right to protest. It stayed true to the "Kristy" image, and there was a twist at the end. A fast-paced, altogether good book.

Super!

I really enjoyed reading this book. At first when I saw this book at the book store I was a little ify about getting it because I usuasly don't like to read Kristy books. I don't like reading Kristy books because I really can't relate to her,I mean I don't like baseball and I just don't like Kristy's style.I mostly like reading books about Claudia and Stacey because they're more like me. But this book really changed my mind about Kristy. I thought that this book was going to be about baseball and tacky clothes. But boy was I wrong. In this book I saw the better side of Kristy, the side of Kristy that I like. In this book Kristy's english teacher gives them a assignment that is nothing but trouble. The second part of the assignment is a biography.Kristy's english teacher partners them up randomly and guess who Kristy gets stuck with, her archenemy Cary. But during the project Kristy founds that Cary isn't that bad and that she's actual starting to like him, until one day Kristy steps over the line and Cary doesn't want to speak to her anymore.I thought this book was really good but I was kind of hopping that Cary and Kristy would get together and become boyfriend and girlfriend. To see if Kristy and Cary get through the project and patch things up between them read this excellent book. ...

A great book!

I think that this is the BEST BSC FF book yet, well done, Ann. Kristy was told to write a biography on Cary Retlin, her archenemy(what she call it)in her English Class, she learned some deep secerts about Cary that she wasn't supoose to know, like reading his personal journal(or diary). Has kristy gone too far, for this assignment?

The best out of BSC FF

I don't know why these reviewers put "good, but not the best" because I truly believe it was. The other books are about superficiality, just a bunch of guy troubles. They're only 13, in 8th grade, and they're talking about these great, sensitive boyfriends. Puh-leeze. You *wish*. The old BSC was better, at least it wasn't full of all of this fluff. Well anyway, this book had some intelligent plot to it, great ending (especially the surprise) and it was an enjoyable read. Check it out. :)

Kristy's gone too far this time.......

In "Kristy Power!" Kristy seems to be a little superfical of Cary in my point of view. She always judges him, not giving him a chance to be a friend, but an enemy instead. Kristy knows she's gone to far this time however. She sneeks a peek at his journal in his room, and realises that snooping through privite properity is something you just DO NOT DO. No matter how you think of that person. I'm glad Kristy apoligized in the book. It shows that she's really maturing, compaired to the old series. I read Maggie, Diary Three too, and both of the books Ann came out with this month are terrific! Keep up the great work Ann M. Martin! I can't wait for Friends Forever #6, and Claifornia Diaries #14!
