In One crazy week, The kids at SMS have become teachers. Mallory faces an out of control English class. Mary Anne did the same too. And this is Kristy's first assignement. She will be teaching gym class with Cary Retlin instead they make a teacher feud! Kristy has to win. She only wants the person to teach gym class to kids.

I was never a Kristy fan, although she is the author's favorite. I always thought Kristy was a brash, obnoxious little bull dozer who never once answered to her actions. In this book, she, along with a group of schoolmates sign up for extra credit for a "Teachers of Tomorrow" (TOT) program. She naturally chooses gym where she works alongside of her nemesis, the infamous Cary Retlin. The two quasi-teachers undermine each other and turn their classes into chaos. After a series of accidents involving their "pupils," the two "teachers" are called on the carpet. Kristy finally gets her come uppance and that was sweet!The subplot involving Vanessa was much more engaging. It was wonderful! I liked the poetry and the author has a gift for creating the expressions of kids of all ages. My favorite part was when Abby, my favorite member of the series cured Vanessa of ramming poetry lessons down her siblings' throats by having Vanessa teach poetry as if she was the best teacher she ever had. Abby was the one who saved the day. Abby rocks!

It turns out she has a right to. The first gym class is a disaster. And worst of all, she gets blamed for it! What will Kristy do? Kristy is the absolute bestest baby-sitter and it would be better if the whole series were focused on her. I think the book is great and exciting. Here in our school theree is a day once a month when the teachers let a group of students be teachers. Ann Martin can you read this? Maybe you should pair up Kristy and Cary. It will be good.
