This book has interesting patterns such as a Noro Silk Garden tote, a felted bag, a braided chenille scarf and some pillows, rugs and hot water bottle and tea cozys. The colors are natural or interesting shades that please the eye. I even saw one design that was remarkable like one I had published years ago--a leftover yarn triangular shawl knit in garter stitch with fringe. This version has horizontal bands; mine had vertical but in all other respects was quite similar. Be that as it may, it's a nice shawl and a great way to use up odd balls of yarn. There is also a mitered blanket and a fluffy beret--again, ways to use up odd balls of novelty yarn or even your own handspun. For handspinners, yarn collectors and stash-remediation seekers, I recommend this book.
looking for help!

I like the book and the patterns featured. However I am unable to contact the publisher or find any way to view the errata for the patterns in this book. One pattern in particular seems to have incorrect yarn yardage specifications. The pattern is called Two-toned Jacket and is found on page 56. Two colours of yarn are required. The sleeves are knit in the main colour while the body of the jacket is knit with 2 rows of the main colour, then 2 rows of the contrast colour. However the ratio between the yarn amount specified does not seem to support this. Materials Required recommends 11 balls of main colour to 3 balls of contrast. Can anyone help with this? Thanks

This is a book with a variety of projects including a shawl, hats, a sleeveless top and matching jacket, teacosy and a fulled bag. Some of the projects (shawl and beret) are designed to use various yarns from your stash. Most of the yarns are 8 ply (DK weight) and the sizing is fairly generous (up to finished size 116 cm bust). All of the projects show a beautiful use of colour.
