Knight Errant

...because I didn't want to miss out on any of the descriptions of the people and places of the War of the Roses. The author really knows his stuff and it was just fasinating to me. This is the kind of history lesson I like. He didn't even need to include the love story, but that was an added bonus. If you love The Outlander and the following books in that series, you should like this one.

First of all, let me state that this is NOT some... gushy romance with no plot except lover's problems that no one cares about. This is an adventure story, about a woman named Robyn transported back in time. Her friends (and enemies, sometimes) are reincarnations of people she has known from her life in the present. I got this book out from the library, suspicious it would be a fluff book like most romances are, and imediately went out and bought it once I finished it. Robyn travels back and forth, from the medival ages to the present, several times. She travels all over the place, including to a much smaller Londen, and gets to meet imporent historic people. Read this book! ^_^

I had never read this author before. This book was just enchanting. I wished it would go on forever. I was sad when it ended, however from what I read on the jacket this is just one book in three so fortunatly there are two more books. I just wished they were already written so I could continue the saga.

For a book written by a man, with a woman as the main character, Mr. Robertson does a super job! I almost expected the usual mushy romance novel stuff, but this was very refreshing indeed. I could not put this book down, much to the shagrin on my boss( I read most of it at work, then at home, well into the night). I felt like I "was there" the whole time I was reading, escaping most easily into the past with/as Robyn and again, as she begins her search for her beloved Edward. Enjoy!

As a time travel novel that is sure to please, this fictional work embraces such a vividly detailed description of medieval life that the reader is transported back in time along with the heroine. Robyn Stafford, young Hollywood executive, decides to surprise her British boyfriend, Collin, by flying to England to share in his birthday celebration. And the notion of a fairy-tale prince is kept alive in Edward, the man of every woman's dreams-sensitive, kind, fair, and handsome. Readers will be reluctant to part with Robyn and Edward and will eagerly anticipate the next two installments in this fantastic epic series.
