Wish it was in color

This was a gift for my son, who loves Kingdom Hearts. He really liked the books, and he's hoping there will be more. It is kind of fun also because it reads like a Japanese book, starting in the back. What I would have liked, however, had it been my book, would be colors. All the books are black and white only.

The Conclusion to the Chain of Memories Series

Yes, you read the title right, for those of you who are just starting to read or are going to buy this book, rest assured that this is the end of the Chain of Memories saga. In the back of the book, it mentions that the next series Kingdom Hearts II will be out in stores soon, so I'm sure all of us KH fans are ready to see that series. Anyway, onto my review. Volume 2 carries on the story from the first book. Sora, Donald, and Goofy are on a quest through Castle Oblivion to find their friends Riku and King Mickey. Sora finally remembers a little bit about the mysterious girl called Namine and is frantically searching the castle for her, however, it seems that Donald and Goofy (well Donald mainly) are getting irritated at Sora because all he talks about is Namine. While Sora and his friends are searching the castle, unbeknownst to them Riku is in Castle Oblivion on his own quest, not just a quest to find his friends, but to finally be rid of the darkness that resides in his heart. Meanwhile, as the two "groups" conduct their search, it becomes more and more apparent that Organization XIII has their own agendas with two separate factions battling it out between each other. That's the end of my summary, I feel that anymore might ruin some of the fun and surprise. This manga is a good conclusion, I've never played the Chain of Memories game so I'm not sure how closely this Manga follows the game, so forgive me of any ignorance. This manga is pretty much the same size as the first book, so there's plenty of story with only a couple of pages of "Bonus Comics" at the back which is awesome because sometimes the extra cartoons are a little lame. Beware that there isn't as much comedy as in the first book, this tends to lean more towards the seriousness of the group's quests though there is still a little comedy here and there which helps break the serious mood at just the right times. So get this book, finish out the series, and wait anxiously for the release of Volume 1 of Kingdom Hearts II. ***Note, something I noticed while reading the book, page 140 is actually labeled as 104, but the rest of the page numbers are correct. Just a little mistake that I saw, really thought there was a lot more pages to the book than I thought.

Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories series 2

just starting reading the book, very good combination of both sora and Rikus adventure.
