As an educator of many years, and university professor in student teaching programs, I highly recommend this beautifully assembled book. Ms. Olien has outdone herself with her numerous writing projects, all very creative and engaging, regardless of the student's ability. A worthwhile investment that even your students will enjoy thumbing through.

I used this book often with my sixth grade writing students. The projects are very fun, and they engaged many of my students who normally do not like to write. I love the Treasure Hunt project, and I appreciate that all the projects have a creative "get started" activity. Middle School students appreciate these child-like writing applications. If you are looking for one-day activities, this is not the book for you. But...if you are looking for great week long writing projects, I think you will enjoy the creativity of this book.
