Every woman is capable of deep spiritual experiences, but she must claim them, must consciously choose to walk through the open gate. This wide-ranging sourcebook can serve as an invaluable friend and... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This should be mandatory reading for every woman! Every possible aspect of life, religion, love and loss is covered. There is a very real sense of support and honesty that anyone can relate to at any point in her life. The book itself is set up like a textbook: Divided into several sections and in those sections divided again by situation with a description of what you are going to read. After each section there is an exercise to help you reflect over what you read. The section in titled Uncomfortable Fit I believe is my favorite and something I have read and re-read. Just realizing that other women share my views on sex and love empowers me. Despite I growing up in a strict Catholic home, I have always felt open and honest about my sexuality and that (gasp) I enjoy sex. I am also not a size six, but I love my body and I feel good about who I am and how I look. Being able to read what other women have to say, not always agreeing, but seeing a different point of view helps me to rejoice in being a woman.
